In order to guarantee the safety of the employees, all electrical work equipment, stairs, ladders and mobile scaffolding used in operation must be periodically inspected in accordance with the standards NEN 3140, NEN 2484, and NEN 1004. In most cases this concerns an annual inspection. In simple terms, electrical work equipment includes all electrical appliances with a plug that are used in operation. For example, tools, battery chargers, extension cords, but also the computers in the office.
Risks
A risk analysis is used to determine which inspection regime applies. The outcome of this risk analysis determines the risk of defects, depending on a number of factors.
Inspection
The devices are visually inspected, checked for compliance, tested for electrical insulation, tested for leakage current, and functionally tested. If the device in question passes every test, it is approved and provided with our inspection sticker.
The stairs, ladders and mobile scaffolding used in the company must be inspected annually. We carry out these inspections according to the accompanying checklist and after the inspection you will receive an administrative overview of all the climbing equipment together with the certificate per object.
